Shop the 2023 Outback in Brattleboro, VT
If you're looking for a roomy SUV or wagon that can handle some off-roading near Northampton, the 2023 Subaru Outback foots the bill. This midsize wagon delivers a car-like ride and comes standard with all-wheel drive. The new Nissan Rogue and the new Volvo V60 Cross Country are similar-sized vehicles, but they don't offer the overall value you get with the Outback. Brattleboro Subaru has provided the following comparison to explain why.

Interior Volume and Cargo Space
Whether you go camping or you load up your vehicle with shopping bags, it's nice to have plenty of space to put everything. Keene drivers will appreciate that the 2023 Subaru Outback has 32.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 75.6 cubic feet of room when the back seats are folded down. It also has 141.5 cubic feet of interior volume, so you and your family will have ample space to relax in.
The new Nissan Rogue has slightly less cargo space than the Outback, at 74.1 cubic feet with its back seats down. It also has less interior volume, at 137.0 cubic feet. The new Volvo V60 Cross Country only has 60.5 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. Interior volume for the V60 Cross Country is just 123.0 cubic feet.
Off-Road Capability
If you enjoy venturing beyond the paved streets in Claremont, you need a vehicle that can handle driving in the rough. The 2023 Subaru Outback comes standard with Symmetrical all-wheel drive and 8.7 inches of ground clearance that give it solid off-road capability. Outback Wilderness models have 9.5 inches of ground clearance enhanced X-MODE for even more exciting all-terrain skills.
The new Nissan Rogue comes with front-wheel drive, although all-wheel drive is available. It only has 8.2 inches of ground clearance. The new Volvo V60 Cross Country does come standard with all-wheel drive. However, it only has 8.1 inches of ground clearance.

Safety
You'll rest assured about your safety in the 2023 Subaru Outback because all models come standard with the EyeSight® Driver Assist suite. This package has ten advanced active safety features, including adaptive headlights that swivel as you go around turns in Brattleboro for improved visibility.
The new Nissan Rogue has just nine standard driver assistance features. It does not offer adaptive headlights. The new Volvo V60 Cross Country has 13 standard driver aids, but adaptive headlights are not available.

Infotainment System
The 2023 Subaru Outback comes standard with a dual-screen STARLINK® Multimedia system that's simple to use. An 11.6-inch touchscreen system is available. Apple Carplay and Android Auto smartphone integration come standard in the Outback, as does satellite radio.
The new Nissan Rogue comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, but it doesn't have dual screens. The Rogue also comes standard with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, but it is known for having fussy infotainment controls. The new Volvo V60 Cross Country comes with a 9-inch infotainment system, but almost all its functions are controlled by the touchscreen, and its settings tend to be buried within a few menus. It may take considerable practice to get the hang of using it.
Price
The 2023 Subaru Outback is even available at a budget-friendly starting price, despite its many features. Northampton drivers will like that the Outback's starting MSRP is around $20,000 less than the new Volvo V60 Cross Country. The Outback has a slightly higher entry-level price than the new Nissan Rogue, but it comes standard with all-wheel drive, which is just optional on the Rogue.
